New blog on drug pricing at Harvard Bill of Health

Oliver's new blog at Bill of Health, the health law blog for the Petrie Flom Center at Harvard Law School, features a discussion about trade’s impact on prescription drug prices as part of “World Trade Month.” While some critics argue that American drug prices are influenced by other countries’ prescription drug pricing schemes, the blog notes that raising prices elsewhere will not lower prices domestically without some means of recapturing price changes through drug importation.

The Department of Health and Human Services is exploring drug importation in certain circumstances.
